After all my "super-detailed" build attempts going totally south lately, decided that instead of pulling out what little's left of my hair.... something a little different might be a good idea this go-around ssooooo...... When I saw this Polar Lights kit at my good ol' Hobby Lobby store the wheels started turnin' and I came up with the hairbrain idea of mixing up this cartoonish looking car with some "fairly realistic" looking parts I had layin around from my latest disasters, and this combo is what I came up with.
About all the kit had to it was a body, some super-cheezy lookin wheels and tires, and a funky blower/scoop combo so I did some parts box diggin and went to town! I scabbed these graphics from a Slixx sheet I had sitting around from a past (incomplete) project, and the paint is a bare (no clearcoat) hand rubbed lacquer. Actually spent lots of time on the undercarriage and interior, but didn't realize until I was posting that I didn't get any pics from different angles to show a little more detail- get some of those tomorrow.
Really enjoyed building this one and now I've finally gone and done it- got one finished up, into a case and onto the shelf!! Have a big scale 57 chevy next up on the bench, but might just have to do another one of these bad boy toonies some day! Thanks for peeking guys~**~
